E-BIKE DISC BRAKES: MECHANICAL VS. HYDRAULIC
Posted by Tom Lee on
What is the main difference between mechanical disc brakes and hydraulic disc brakes? Before you go out and buy your first e-bike, there are a lot of factors you should consider first. The performance of an e-bike is affected by each component. Whether you know it or not, the brakes on your e-bike are very important. Although most braking systems look the same, they are not. For starters, you have to keep in mind how you will use your e-bike. When buying an e-bike, you need to be clear that it has brakes you think you can trust. It is especially important to understand the braking systems of e-bike, so you must be very aware of the differences between the various types of e-bike braking systems.

PROPER USE OF ELECTRIC BIKE GEARS TO PROLONG BATTERY LIFE
Posted by Tom Lee on
It's no secret that most e-bikes are similar in structure to conventional bikes, including multiple gears that change the ratio of pedaling force to wheel rotation. Few people take the time to understand and acknowledge the importance of using the right bike gear. When the bike is in the right gear for the ride and the terrain, it is easier and faster to get around.
All you need to know about electric bike battery

let’s talk about these batteries since they too are used in e-bikes. Li-ion batteries of the first generation were subject to explosive effects, literally. This was due to the fact that they used an anode of metallic lithium and during the charge-discharge, they could have a short circuit due to the formation of dendrites, which created conductive bridges and short-circuited the poles of an electric bike battery. The temperature inside the battery rose until it reached the melting point of lithium. As a result of the violent chemical interaction of lithium with an electrolyte, an explosion would occur.
Therefore, in order to safely use modern batteries for electric bikes, we now use special models that protect the electric bike battery cells from over-discharge, full discharge, overheating, which are called BMS.
